Call for Nominations: SURPAS Representatives at the Faculty Senate Meetings 2023

August 9, 2023
Are you interested in being the voice of SURPAS at the faculty senate meetings? If yes, this is your opportunity to have an ‘Executive leadership’ experience but at a fraction of the time commitment!
Right now we have the following open positions. All are quite low-impact commitments. Your job would be to attend the monthly faculty senate committee meeting (C-RES, C-LIB, C-ACIS or SoM Diversity Cabinet) and report back to the council on anything relevant concerning postdocs. At these meetings, you will be a postdoc voice, and will represent/relay any decisions made by SURPAS as well as any opinions of the general postdoc population when needed.
Please choose from the following faculty senate committees the one which you are most interested in, and email surpasleadership@stanford.edu with your preference by 5 pm August 18th to be included on the ballot for election. To be elected, you must also be present at the August SURPAS Council Meeting scheduled for August 31st at 11:30 am – 1 pm on zoom. Please see the details of the positions below and fill up the form here if interested.
