The postdoc-graduate student mentoring program seeks to provide more professional guidance to graduate students from minoritized backgrounds, who often struggle to find relatable role models at the faculty level. Postdocs often seek opportunities to mentor, and intimately understand the current academic climate. The program will bring together postdocs and students at monthly themed lunches with group discussions on topics chosen based on surveyed attendees’ needs and interests. Through this format, we aim to educate attendees and to build a robust community of mentors and mentees.

Can’t make it this fall? No worries – we plan to run the program again in Spring 2019!
