June SURPAS Council Meeting

Join us for the upcoming SURPAS Council Meeting, where we’ll be holding elections for several leadership positions. 

• Date: Thursday, 27th Wednesday, 26th June (ATTENTION – NEW DATE!)
• Time: 11:30 am – 1:00 pm

Location: Online via Zoom Password: 581367

In this meeting, we will hear:

• Updates from the LGBTQIA+ Committee
• Updates from the Teaching and Outreach Committee
• Update from June’s SURPAS Meeting with OPA regarding housing
• Council elections (4 council elections, and 1 co-chair election)

Leadership Positions Open for Election:

• Co-Chair: Leads SURPAS meetings, represents postdocs at university-wide meetings, and ensures smooth operations within SURPAS. Time Commitment: 3-5 hours/week.
• Community Engagement Liaison: Facilitates access to SURPAS resources for all Stanford Postdocs and assists with compliance. Time Commitment: 2-4 hours/week.
• Financial Officer: Manages finances, prepares budgets, and handles financial transactions. Time Commitment: 1-2 hours/week, may increase during event periods.
• Advocacy Coordinator and Operations Manager: Roles opening soon with responsibilities in advocacy initiatives and internal operations management.
