Stanford Latinx Postdoc Association invites you to Dia de Muertos

Stanford Latinx Postdoc Association invites you to Dia de Muertos!
Join us and celebrate Dia de Muertos with the Stanford LatinX Postdoc Association. You’ll enjoy traditional Mexican “pan de Muertos” and “tamales” and be delighted by the music of “Dueto Arte”.
“Dia de Muertos is a tradition that started in Mexico. On this day, families gather together to remember and celebrate their family members and friends who have passed away. It is common to set up ‘Ofrendas’, full of all the favorite things of their beloved ones, as well as some traditional elements that can help guide the souls back to the world of the living. One of these elements is the picture of the person we are remembering.”
WHEN: Thursday November 3rd, 5:30-7:30 PM
WHERE: Mitchell patio (Mitchell Earth Sciences Building) Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability.
WHO: All Postdocs, * Please upload your photo and RSVP for the event here
We invite you to send a picture of a loved one that you want to remember in our ofrenda. We will print the photographs that we receive by Wednesday, November 2nd, and place them in the ofrenda. At the end of the event, you can take the photograph with you. Or, if you prefer, you can bring your own picture to place at the ofrenda on the day of the event. Please upload your photo and RSVP for the event here.
Additionally, please let us know whether you would like to volunteer for the event!
This event is possible thanks to you, SLPA, theOffice of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion from Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability, and OPA.
