Call for Nominations: SURPAS Representatives at the Faculty Senate Meetings

Are you interested in being the voice of SURPAS at the faculty senate meetings?
If yes, then this is your opportunity to have an ‘Executive leadership’ experience but at a fraction of the time commitment! You will represent/relay decisions made by SURPAS as well as be the voice of the broad postdoctoral community’s opinions at the monthly faculty senate meetings. Sounds interesting? Consider nominating yourself for one or more of the positions below.

Committee initiatives include:
- Resource allocation for computing on the Stanford Campus and at SLAC
- Decisions on computing facility management
- Initiatives to educate the Stanford community on computing resources and best practices
Time commitment: 2-4 hours/month
2. Committee on Academic Computing and Information Systems (C-ACIS): See here for more details on C-ACIS
Committee initiatives include:
- Resource allocation for computing on the Stanford Campus and at SLAC
- Decisions on computing facility management
- Initiatives to educate the Stanford community on computing resources and best practices
Time commitment: 2-4 hours/month
3. Committee on Libraries (C-LIB): See here for more details on C-LIB
Committee initiatives include:
- Review of finances and activities of Stanford University press
- Decisions regarding library storage facilities and circulation policies
- Fundraising efforts and budgeting decisions for Stanford libraries
Time commitment: 2-4 hours/month
