  • IDEAL DEI Survey Committee update (Guest: Brian Cook, Director of Assessment and Program Evaluation, IRDS)

Future survey coming up with a focus on race and ethnicity. Harassment, discrimination and microaggression need to be part of that survey. All of that information needs to be public. What is the plan of action if we do that survey? The data will help shape this initiative. Data won’t be publicly shared but the reports will be. Brian was part of the AAU survey. For this survey, no third party will be included. 

• • COVID-19 vaccines

    • “Stanford plans to require all undergraduate, graduate and professional students coming to campus this fall to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19” – Provost Drell email 4/22/21

Ronak: The vaccine intellectual property causes problems for other countries to access vaccines. Circulate a petition and send to the executive cabinet about the sharing of intellectual property rights.
